Canada: New Housing Price index up 0.2% MoM in July

FXstreet.com (Edinburgh) - Canadian New Housing Price index rose 0.2% MoM in July, above estimates and matching June’s gain. Over the last twelve months the index rose 1.9%.

BoE Governor Carney reaffirms commitment to 7% unemployment target

Bank of England Governor Mark Carney today testified to the Treasury Select Committee, again reiterating that the central bank would not won’t raise benchmark rates until unemployment falls to 7 percent. He added that he would be prepared to step in with further stimulus should conditions deteriorate.
